The Sailing Committee embraces all the missions of the Appalachian Mountain Club: education, recreation, conservation. Through classroom education, onboard instruction, and on-water sailing – both for pleasure and skill-building through hands-on experiences – it sponsors opportunities to acquire sailing knowledge, boat handling skills, and simply sailing. Our priorities are safety first, fun second, and achieving our goals third – and we are always learning whether in a classroom or on a boat.
