Spend a day or the whole weekend at historic Fort Hancock See www.sandyhookadventure.org for directions and reservations. Meet at 9 a.m. in the rear of Education Building 102, Fort Hancock, Sandy Hook, NJ for instruction. Canoe instruction (solo and/or tandem) will be given on Sat. morning at nearby Horseshoe Cove. There are only a few canoes available (first come/first served), but you are welcome to bring your own. Join us again for Sun.'s 8 a.m. all-day excursion to beautiful brown water Pine Barrens River – probably Cedar Creek. - Stay with us at historic Fort Hancock on Sandy Hook, NJ and wake up steps from the Atlantic Ocean and Sandy Hook Bay. (See www.sandyhookadventure.org for reservations.) Professional artist L Mario Zecca will lead all levels in exploring the principals of drawing, portraiture, landscape, still life and drawing from the imagination. Bring pencils, plenty of drawing paper and an open mind. Pencils can be normal office pencils and a few "B" pencils, within the B2 to B6 range for dark lines. Paper should be in a hard-backed pad or bring a portable drawing surface for drawing outside.
